During the 2015 NFL Entry Draft, the Pittsburgh Penguins had four draft picks. The four picks included the following players:

Dominik Simon, 5th round, 137th overall
Frederik Tiffels, 6th round, 167th overall
Nikita Pavlychev, 7th round, 197th overall
This jersey was purchased during an online auction by the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation in July of 2022. The jersey was prepared for the 2015 NHL Draft located in Sunrise, FL on June 26th & 27th. The jersey came autographed by all four players that was drafted. The 2015 draft was the last year the Penguins used the Vegas gold Reebok jersey.

Daniel Sprong, 2nd round, 46th overall
After the draft, Daniel started with the Penguins in 2015 season playing 18 games and scoring 2 goals. Sprong rejoined the Charlottetown Islanders for the remainder of the 2015–16 season. He played 33 games for the Charlottetown Islanders and recorded 46 points. An injury sustained during practice with the Penguins during the 2016 Stanley Cup playoffs kept Sprong out until January, 2017 when he rejoined Charlottetown. He only played 31 games that season, but finished with 59 points, the highest points-per-game average in the entire league. He finished his career with the Islanders with the third goals and second most points in team history, and during the playoffs he tied the record for most career goals and broke the records for most assists and points. Sprong led the Islanders in scoring with 20 points in 12 games as the team lost in the third round of the playoffs, ending his junior career. Following that he was recalled again by the Penguins to train with them during their time in the NHL playoffs.

After the draft, Dominik Simon was signed by the Pittsburgh Penguins to a three-year, entry-level contract on July 15th, 2015. He began the 2015–16 season playing for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. He made his NHL debut on 13 March 2016, where he earned his first NHL assist in a 5–3 win against the New York Rangers. After playing three games in the NHL, he was reassigned to the WBS Penguins.
As of June 161th, 2022, Dominik become an unrestricted free agent after finishing with the Anaheim Ducks.
After the draft, Dominik Simon was signed by the Pittsburgh Penguins to a three-year, entry-level contract on July 15th, 2015. After the draft, Frederick Tiffels continued playing in the NCAA for the Western Michigan Broncos. After completion of his junior season with the Broncos in 2016–17, Tiffels concluded his collegiate career by agreeing to a two-year, entry-level contract with the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Pittsburgh Penguins, on June 22nd 2017. In the 2017–18 season, he saw the ice in 12 AHL contests (two goals, one assist) for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, while appearing in 44 ECHL games (16 goals, 17 assists) for the Wheeling Nailers.
As of June 161th, 2022, Fredick finished the season in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), the highest level of play in professional German ice hockey league, with Eishockeyclub Red Bull München
After the draft, Frederick Tiffels continued playing in the NCAA for the Western Michigan Broncos. As of June 161th, 2022, Nikita finished the 2021-22 season splitting time between AHL Ontario Reign and ECHL Greenville Swamp Rabbits
